Review: Targus Universal Digital Camera Starter Kit – Head’s UP
Alright, I know most people at YouTube don’t need a Digital Camera Starter Kit, but let me ask you a question: Do you find yourself bending over a bigger tripod when you try to do a review or make a video where you want to work on a table? Well, I am new to YouTube, and been ignorant this whole time, always finding myself in compromising positions while reaching over and under or around my bigger Targus Tripod. Then I saw the Targus Universal Digital Camera Starter Kit in Walmart for 10 dollars, and I couldn’t buy it fast enough. When I did my first video, sitting in a chair with this little 6 inch tripod perfectly positioned right in front of me, I couldn’t have been any happier. For a mere 10 dollars, here is what you get: A digital camera case w/shoulder strap A Portable tripod that extends to 6″ w/universal mount A universal memory card wallet Universal Screen Shields A Digital maintenance care kit w/micro-fiber cloth and lens cleaning solution How can you beat that for 10 dollars? Well, beats me, but I would have paid 10 dollars just for the mini tripod, although, you can get just the 6″ Tripod for 4 or so dollars right, if that is what you need. And that’s my head’s up to anyone who has been dumb like I have, and bending over bigger tripods. Obviously, most YouTubers already knew this, but for people like me, this will be a welcome addition for future video making ease, kk, because I llike all the other stuff that comes with the mini Tripod. ————— The …

IndiSLIDER Mini Deluxe [Canon T2i]
I unboxed it, put it together, and started filming. This is the result. Purchase one here: goo.gl Video soundtrack: goo.gl MKBHD on Twitter: twitter.com MKBHD on Google+: gplus.to ~ First impressions of the hardware a pretty solid. I like the fluidity of the 24″ slider for such a low budget item and I’ve been impressed with the build quality so far. Watching review of the slider doesn’t really give a good impression of the weight, but with a DSLR or heavier camera the IndiSlider handles friction with the rails very well. This allows for nice, fluid reveal shots and slider motions during videos. OVerall it’s an excellent product at an excellent price. ~

HDSLR GEAR – Okii USB Mini Controller REVIEW
www.okii.net The Okii MC1 is a wired USB remote, designed for Canon EOS Digital SLR cameras with video capability. Similar to the EOS Utility on a computer, the MC1 uses Canon’s USB protocol to allow control of a wide range of abilities, but without the limitations and bulk of being tethered to a computer. When mounted near a rig handle, it provides easy access to camera functions such as video start digital zoom, and settings changes. The MC1 can also be used at longer distances (eg, on a crane or boom) with non-powered USB extension cables. An optional automatic recording restart feature is included, which can stop and restart video recording at 11-minute intervals for long film sequences, or can act as a fail safe. The MC1 is approximately 3″ x 1.5″ x .75″ and weighs about 3 ounces. It connects to your camera with a standard mini-B to A USB cable (the same cable you use to connect your camera to a computer). Three 1/4″-20 mounting points on the top and sides are provided to secure the MC1 to a rig or handle Features Initiates video start/stop, image capture, digital zoom, autofocus, and live view Controls ISO, aperture, and shutter speed (while not recording) Optional 11-minute recording restart Does not interfere with HDMI output for external monitor or electronic viewfinder use Uses standard mini-B to A USB cables (the same cable for connecting a Canon camera to a computer) Non-powered USB extension cables extend range to 25+ meters 30+ hour battery life on two AAA …
